‘Name that Gnome’ Competitions Terms & Conditions - The German Christmas Shop

  1. By entering the promotion, entrants confirm that they have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and all rules and guidelines applicable to the use of Facebook.
  2. The Promoter of this prize draw is The German Christmas Shop.
  3. Through ‘Name that Gnome’ promotions, we offer entrants a chance to win one of the following:
  4. First Prize is a $200 shopping discount awarded to one winner.
  5. Two additional $50 Shopping discount will also be awarded to two runner's up.
  6. To enter the nominated prize draw, entrants must add a comment containing their proposed name to the nominated post.
  7. Entrants are encouraged to Like & Share the post also.
  8. Entrants must be Australian residents, aged 18 years or over.
  9. Entrants must also like/follow the ‘German Christmas Shop’ Facebook page.
  10. One entry allowed per person. Entries submitted on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
  11. Inappropriate or offensive entries will be removed from the contest. The determination of what is inappropriate or offensive is at the sole discretion of the German Christmas Shop and we will not enter into discussions regarding the appropriateness of an entry once it has been removed
  12. ‘Chuck Norris’ is not a valid entry and will be removed.
  13. Prizes will be offered as a one-off discount code. Winners will be required to use their voucher in one transaction. If their transaction is less than the prize amount, winners will forfeit any remaining amounts.
  14. Prizes are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable and there is no cash alternative offered.
  15. The Contest will run from 9am (AEDST)Friday 9 November until 8pm Sunday 11 November (Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time).  Entries after this date and time will not be accepted.
  16. Winners will be selected based upon the quality of the entries. The determination of who wins is at the sole discretion of the German Christmas Shop and we will not enter into discussions regarding the determination process for winners.
  17. Winner’s Facebook account names will be published on the German Christmas Shop Facebook page as part of the announcement.
  18. Each winner will be notified within five working days of the draw via Facebook direct message to the account from which the entry was made and will be asked to provide their full name and email address. If a winner fails to respond within five working days of this notification, they forfeit their prize. If any winner declines a prize or fails to respond within the required period, they forfeit any right to the prize.
  19. The prize will be sent via email within five days of receiving the winner’s email address.
  20. Winners may be required to submit valid identification before receiving their prize.
  21. All copyright in the entries is the property of the German Christmas Shop. We reserve the right to use any entries for such purposes and no additional payment will be made for using entries in this way.
  22. We not accept responsibility for network, computer or software failures of any kind and has no responsibility for lost, delayed or misdirected entries.
  23. We reserve the right to disqualify any entries if we, at our sole discretion, believe that there has been an attempt to manipulate or tamper with the operation of the promotion (including, without limitation, by setting up multiple Instagram, Facebook or other social media accounts in order to submit multiple entries).
  24. We do not accept any responsibility for any infringement of any third party intellectual property rights caused by entrants entering this prize draw.
  25. Except for the purpose of carrying out the promotion, contacting winners and sending out prizes we will not use entrants’ personal data without the express consent of the entrant.
  26. You agree to be bound by the decisions of the Promoter, which are final in all matters relating to the promotion. No correspondence will be entered into in respect of the Promoter’s decisions.
  27. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with Australian Law and parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian Courts, including the seeking of all injunctive or ancillary relief actions.
  28. By entering and participating, entrant agrees to hold harmless, defend and indemnify Facebook from and against any and all claims, demands, liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), losses, costs or expenses, with respect to or arising out of the promotion

‘Like and Share’ Competitions Terms & Conditions - The German Christmas Shop

  1. By entering the promotion, entrants confirm that they have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and all rules and guidelines applicable to the use of Facebook.
  2. The Promoter of this prize draw is The German Christmas Shop.
  3. Through ‘Like and Share’ promotions, we offer entrants a chance to win items from our range of handcrafted Christmas decorations.
  4. To enter a nominated prize draw, entrants must like a designated post. Entrants are encouraged to share the post and add comments also.
  5. Entrants must be Australian residents, aged 18 years or over.
  6. In addition to liking a nominated post, entrants must also like/follow the ‘German Christmas Shop’ Facebook page.
  7. One entry allowed per person. Entries submitted on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
  8. No purchase is necessary to enter this promotion however internet access is required.
  9. Promotions will clearly stipulate an end date and time by which ‘Likes & Shares’ must be added. Entries after this date and time will not be accepted.
  10. Promotions will stipulate the number and type of prize on offer. All prizes are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable and there is no cash alternative offered.
  11. The winners will be randomly selected from all valid entries received after the end date of the promotion.
  12. Winner’s Facebook account names will be published on the German Christmas Shop Facebook page as part of the announcement.

If a winner fails to respond within five working days of this notification, a redraw will take place from the remaining valid entries to select a new winner.
